There are days when just getting out of bed feels like a victory. The alarm goes off, your body feels heavy, your mind’s foggy, and everything inside you whispers, not today.
And yet—somehow—you still show up.
Maybe it’s for work, for your family, for that friend who needs you, or simply for yourself. You do the small things, even when they feel big. You keep going, even when you’re tired. That’s not failure or weakness—that’s courage in its quietest form.
The Myth of “Feeling Ready”
We often wait to feel motivated before we take action. But the truth is, motivation rarely arrives first. Action creates motivation. Sometimes, showing up is what brings the energy back—not the other way around.
When I work with people through my EMDR and CBT sessions, I see this pattern again and again. People who believe they’re “too tired” or “too stuck” to start often discover that even the smallest action—a short walk, a proper meal, a few deep breaths—can shift everything.
The power isn’t in pushing yourself to exhaustion. It’s in listening to your body, honouring your limits, and choosing gentle consistency over perfection.
Being Kind to Yourself While You Keep Going
Showing up doesn’t always mean giving 100%. Some days, 40% is your 100%—and that’s perfectly okay.
It’s about being compassionate with yourself, recognising that rest is part of progress, and trusting that even small efforts matter.
If you’re running on empty right now, pause. Take a breath. Ask yourself what you really need—maybe it’s movement, maybe it’s nourishment, maybe it’s simply permission to slow down.
Recharging So You Can Keep Showing Up
If this resonates with you—if you’re tired, stretched thin, or feeling a bit disconnected—I’ve created something that might help. My Feel Better Fast course is designed to help you reset your energy, reconnect with yourself, and find practical ways to feel more balanced, even when life’s full.
It’s gentle, realistic, and rooted in real life—not in endless to-do lists or impossible routines.
